Procedures and specialized services

Workplace, WCB & Occupational Health

Anuvi assesses work-related injuries and helps patients navigate the medical part of a WCB claim. We also provide selected occupational health services requested by employers or workers.

What to bring

Tell us when booking that the concern is work-related so we can arrange the correct appointment and reporting. Bring your Alberta health card, employer information, the date and details of the injury, your WCB claim number if available, any forms or letters you have received, a medication list, and information from previous assessments. You can still be assessed if a claim number has not yet been assigned.

What to expect

The physician will assess the injury, discuss treatment and document how it affects your ability to work. Restrictions are based on the medical findings and the demands of your job, and the physician may recommend modified duties, time away from work or further assessment.

Coverage and fees

Eligible WCB medical services and required reports are billed according to WCB-Alberta requirements. Other occupational services, such as employer-requested or pre-employment medical examinations, may be uninsured, and we will explain any applicable fee before the assessment.
