For every stage of life
Our family physicians care for children from infancy through adolescence. This includes routine development, preventive care, common illnesses and the changing health needs that come with the teenage years. Where possible, we try to keep members of the same family with the same physician or care team.
Each child has their own private medical record, even when several family members attend the same clinic. The physician will speak with the parent or caregiver and involve the child in a way that is appropriate for their age. Appointments may include a review of growth, development, medical history and family concerns, and an examination or testing may be recommended. Older children and teens may be offered time to speak privately with the physician when appropriate.
Routine care should be booked in advance. Same-day and walk-in care is available for many new illnesses and minor injuries — depending on availability, your child may see their regular physician or another Anuvi physician who can review the clinic record.
Medically necessary physician visits are generally covered with valid Alberta Health coverage. Some forms, medications, vaccines or supplies may have a separate cost.
